Itinerary
Day 1 | Kolkata pickup
Pickup from your agreed Kolkata point, drive to the ferry point and cross to Sagar Island by private or charter ferry. Check in and rest; evening visit to the Mela area.
Day 2 | Holy dip and darshan
Early-morning visit to the Gangasagar Sangam for the Makar Sankranti holy dip as permitted, followed by Kapil Muni Temple darshan with our local team's help.
Day 3 | Return
Breakfast, check-out and return by ferry and private car to your Kolkata drop point.

When is Gangasagar Mela 2027?
The Mela is held around Makar Sankranti in mid-January. Makar Sankranti 2027 falls on 14 January and the main holy dip is expected on 15 January 2027. Exact snan timing follows the official Mela notification, so please confirm before you book.
Is the ferry timing fixed during the Mela?
No. Ferry routes and timing depend on tide, weather and Mela-period arrangements. We plan your crossing around the latest schedule.
